  • Abstract
    Crystallographic, electrical, and magnetic properties of R-Ni (R = Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho) films were studied. The variation of the electrical resistance with temperature in the R-Ni films was extremely small, indicating that these films do not have the normal crystal structure. This was confirmed by x-ray diffraction patterns which showed that these films were is actually amorphous.
