Abstract :
A theoretical analysis of the problem of estimating frequency selective fade model parameters from measurements on existing analog links is presented. These measurements essentially consist of obtaining records of AGC and continuity pilot level variations from which a first approximation of a, \\alpha , \\omega _{0} , and τ (fade model parameters) can be obtained. Field results obtained on a working link in New Zealand are reported.
