Abstract :
Whereas most proximity sensors are sensitive to a single physical quantity, the authors describe a sensor employing a planar micro-magnetic core of thermosensitive amorphous magnetic ribbon which is sensitive to both heat and magnetic fields. Experimental values were in reasonably good agreement with results calculated from the equivalent circuit.
