Abstract :
The theoretical concept of the Pramod scheme for ultra-high-speed (UHS) protection of EHV transmission lines is described. The principle is based on detection of the fault-induced high-frequency signals of the order of kilohertz. A technique for the digital simulation of the transmission line and the high-frequency detecting circuit is explained, and the results are presented
