Abstract :
An optical fiber transmission system for 376 compressed digital video channels that uses Fabry-Perot lasers to transmit 94 subcarriers is reported. It achieves a 25-dB system budget without optical amplification and a 45-dB budget with an inline fiber amplifier.<>
