Abstract
Attenuation of a radiowave propagating over a perfectly conducting rectangular plateau has been reported in closed form. This solution is extended to cover a perfectly conducting trapezoidal plateau with sloping front face, which includes as particular cases the rectangular plateau, the right-angled triangular hill and the knife edge.
