Abstract :
A novel circuit topology of a buck-type power factor correction (PFC) converter is proposed. This PFC converter completes the effective elimination of line harmonic current components without current detection. It also suppresses the ripple voltage in the DC output stage. The circuit configuration of this PFC converter is demonstrated and its operating principle described, along with analytical and experimental evaluations.
