Abstract
Georg Simon Ohm was a famous German scientist in the 19th century. His name was probably spoken more often than any other scientific name by electrical engineers during the Romantic Era of Electrical Engineering. This article gives a brief history of his life and his work that led to his discovery of what is known as Ohm´s law.
