Abstract
In the present note, stability of linear neutral systems with multiple delays is investigated. By principle of the argument, stability criteria are derived which are necessary and sufficient for asymptotic stability of the neutral systems. The stability criteria need only to evaluate the characteristic function and the argument on the boundary of a certain rectangular region. Several numerical examples are given to illustrate the results
