Abstract :
A single frequency fiber Brillouin ring laser is experimentally demonstrated, which is made of polarization maintaining fiber with 90/spl deg/ polarization axis rotation at splice. It Is observed that the neighboring unwanted modes are always separated away from the lasing mode. The orthogonality of the state of polarization between them is also observed.<>
