Abstract :
This paper investigates theoretically the change in sensitivity due to pure bending in a D-fiber methane gas sensor. Loss calculations are obtained by employing the finite difference technique with the aid of perturbation theory. The curved D-fiber with a step index distribution is transformed into an equivalent straight D-fiber with a graded index distribution using conformal transformation.<>
