Abstract :
A field test measurement program evaluating five ghost cancelling systems for the NTSC television service was conducted in the Washington, DC, area in the fall of 1991. Data relating to the performance of the ghost cancelers under different multipath and ghosting conditions experienced in the field are presented and the test program is described. Subjective assessment of relative and absolute performance of the ghost cancelling systems indicated that one system exhibited consistently superior performance relative to the other four systems
