Abstract :
A detailed consideration is presented of copolarized and cross-polarized radar response for partially polarized scattering. A technique using an adjustable polarization basis is used where appropriate. Conditions for maximum and minimum copolarized and cross-polarized power return are obtained. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the realization of the polarization fork are presented
