Abstract
The authors describe a progressive scan system which performs interlace to double-scan format conversion for luma and chroma signals using YUV analog input and output. Motion adaptive processing for luma is included to reduce artifacts due to motion. Minimal external RAM and only one digital signal processing IC are needed. All analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, a voltage controlled oscillator, and phase detectors were on the digital processing IC
