Abstract
A complete single chip radio IC technology is discussed. It was possible to include intermediate frequency (IF) filters in a radio IC by reducing the IF. Degradation of image interference characteristics can be avoided by image canceling circuits with inphase/quadrature mixers and a phase shift network. Two ICs were developed for FM-stereo/AM and AM-only radio by using this technology. The FM-stereo/AM radio IC can work at a supply voltage of 0.95-V
