Abstract :
A computer model for the hysteresis phenomenon in ferromagnetic cores is presented. The determination of the B-H trajectories is based on Preisach´s theory, and requires, as input data, the extrado function Be(H) which is the upper bound of the limiting hysteresis loop. The hysteresis model has been checked against measurements obtained for a small transformer. There is satisfactory agreement between the calculated and measured minor B-H loops.
