  • Abstract
    The author considers the design of observers for the discrete singular system Ex(k+1)=Ax(k)+Bu (k), y(k)=Cx(k), placing special emphasis on the problems of state reconstruction and minimal-time state reconstruction. It is shown that for a singular system, finite poles can be moved to infinity by state feedback and the state can be reconstructed by causal observers
