Abstract :
The results of the detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis of the current transients of the vacuum arc near ac zero are presented. Based on the current oscillograms obtained experimentally during unstable burning of the vacuum arc, we found some characteristic transient forms have been distinguished as well as their close relation to the switched-off circuit parameters. The set of theoretical dependences which enable evaluation of the influence of several switched-off circuit parameters on the current transients of the arc near the current zero, have been elaborated, The results of theoretical analysis are in accordance with the results obtained experimentally.
