Abstract :
The dynamics of plasma, produced in the end-on section of a strip-type magnetically insulated transmission line, was studied experimentally. Current - carrying plasma jets were found to appear at the MITL highpotential electrode surface during the X-ray emission pulse. The jet electron denstiy ranged from 1024 to 1025 m-3. A correlation was established between the electron beam profile over the anode and the diode-gap plasma spatial distribution.
