Abstract :
Protective relaying performance is not easily quantified. The authors introduce a computer database program which organizes and simplifies the data gathering process. This computer program allows consistent and clearly defined categorization of the data so that interpretation or statistical analysis is easily derived. They begin with a discussion of the benefits associated with the compilation of protective system performance data. The details are provided that are necessary to begin implementation of a comprehensive reporting system
