Abstract
Using the finite element method, the propagation and phase shift characteristics of shielded microstrip and slotline on an axially-magnetized ferrite substrate are derived and compared. Results show that the two structures have identical dimensions and ferrite parameters, the microstrip provides approximately 2-3 time greater phase shift per unit wavelength (of the isotropic case) that the slotline
