Abstract :
Polarization and depolarization currents in Mylar strongly differ when carried out either in a vacuum or in humid air. If vacuum is established during polarization, a current inversion is observed. We interpreted this effect as a withdrawal of free carriers and polarized water molecules by diffusion, for which a tentative diffusion coefficient of 5x10-9 cm2/s was found.
