Abstract :
Estimating the output luminance for the whole range of gray-levels is quite needed for high-quality image enhancement algorithms. In this paper, a new modeling method of light emission is proposed to estimate a more exact output luminance for the whole gray-levels by consideration of phosphor saturation and its recovery effect. Based on high accuracy of the estimated output luminance, the proposed modeling is helpful in removing the inversion problem of grayscale and improving the grayscale linearity of PDP-TV considerably.
