Abstract :
A novel configuration for two-wave mixing based on a composite crystal-mirror element is presented. Power amplification of a 7-mW signal by a factor of 3.3 is achieved with a pump power of 43 mW for diode laser radiation at 840 nm. The configuration, which is compact and easy to align, has potential for beam cleanup and coherent combination using semiconductor diode laser arrays.<>
