Abstract :
The authors experimentally demonstrated the use of a nonlinear Fabry-Perot diode laser amplifier as a wavelength filter. Its performance at a data rate of 140 Mb/s was studied in a two-channel experiment. A minimum channel spacing of 12 GHz with usable optical gain of 10 dB was obtained.<>
