Abstract :
The development of a unique three phase load flow algorithm is presented which employs a hybrid (implicit Z-BUS and Y-BUS Gauss) iterative technique without making any nonpractical assumptions about the generators. The main applications of this three phase load flow program will be to find optimum line configuration when a utility wants to construct a new transmission line, to find the optimum transposition positions and line arrangements through a system, and for estimation of generator current unbalance during normal operation
