  • Abstract
The structure and magnetic properties of Sm3(Fe0.85Cr0.15)29Ny alloy were investigated. It was found that the alloy had the R 3(Fe,M)29-type structure and absorbed 4-5 wt.% of nitrogen which exceeds 4 nitrogen atoms per unit formula. The coercivity of the powder was greatly influenced by the nitrogen content and annealing. The Sm3(Fe0.85Cr0.15)29 Ny alloy powder with 4.1 wt.% of nitrogen showed a high coercivity of 552 kA/m without fine grinding
