Abstract
Strategies and tactics for teaching DSP at CalTech are discussed, and the role of design-oriented courses in undergraduate engineering education is briefly considered. Courseware for an applications-oriented course and design laboratory for advanced undergraduate student is described. Several projects carried out by students and the products developed and created by them are presented to illustrate students´ performance.<>
