Abstract :
A new type of structure has been analyzed - the upper patch of a common stacked patches antenna has been placed in different positions offset from the center. Bandwidth improvement has been achieved by displacing the upper patch in the two main antenna planes and diagonal positions. It has been proven that the effect diagonal offsets have on bandwidth is the sum of the E- and H-plane offset effects.
