Abstract
An experimental analysis of the rotational remanence properties of various recording samples is presented. The locus of the saturation remanence is an ellipse. For smaller rotating fields, the trajectory is a spiral whose limit cycle is an ellipse; however, depending on the initial magnetization, the aspect ratio and the center of the ellipse for small fields are different from those for the saturating field case
