Abstract :
The parametric induction motor has many excellent features compared with the ordinary single-phase capacitor motor. Since the parametric induction motor utilizes parametric oscillation, anomalous rotating phenomena may occur due to the parametric oscillation of an inappropriate resonance capacitor, machine size and excitation voltage. In this paper, to clarify the instability phenomena, the operating mechanism of the anomalous rotating phenomena was investigated. The results clarified a main cause of the anomalous phenomena. It was also shown that hysteresis of parametric oscillation of voltage changing corresponds qualitatively to hysteresis of rotating speed changing.
