Abstract :
In order to achieve higher area-density magneto-optical recording, the land and groove area recording (Land/Groove recording) technique has been developed. Land/Groove recording, in combination with a crosstalk canceller technique and the PRML (Partial Response Maximum Likelihood) technique, has the potential for achieving over 10× MO recording. Moreover, it is also possible to accomplish 16× MO recording, using a blue-green laser head combined system
