  • Abstract
    The impact of speech coding on automatic speaker verification is investigated. Two different coders, classifiers and parametric representations of speech are considered. It is found that coding degrades mean speaker verification accuracy. Classifications of speech frames, for a given speaker, fluctuate by up to 30% relative to the uncoded case
