Abstract :
The authors demonstrate the highest reported repetition rate regeneration of an optical data stream, using a mode lacked fibre ring laser for clock recovery, and an optical decision circuit based on non-linear polarisation rotation. Error ratio measurements of the regenerated 40 Gbit/s output confirm the fidelity of the technique
