Abstract :
The design and overlap area of permanent magnets in meshing area and performance characteristics of circular arc magnetic gear are described. The transmitted torque or circular arc magnetic gear increases by 6% as compared to an involute magnetic gear of the same dimensions. This phenomenon is a result of the increase in the permanent magnet overlap area increasing in the meshing area using a variable pinion arc tooth profile.
