Abstract :
Recently, a time-domain, near-field to near-field transformation, based on the Stratton-Chu representation, was presented for use with the FDTD method. An alternative near-field to near-field transformation based on the Kirchhoff representation is described. Savings of both computation time and computer memory are achieved using the Kirchhoff formulation. Comparisons of the savings attained are illustrated through an example, the application of the transformation to a TEM horn antenna for pulse radiation
