Abstract
The influence of a perturbed airgap cross-section on the crosspolar performance of a dielectric loaded conical horn is examined through a series of experiments at MM wavelengths. It is shown that by careful design the dielectric core can be separated from the horn wall without incurring significant additional depolarisation.
