Abstract
A transmit-antennas pre-/post-rake suitable for impulse radio ultra-wideband systems is proposed. The optimal weights of the pre-rake and post-rake are jointly determined by maximising the signal-to-noise ratio. Simulations show that the performance of the proposed pre-/post-rake improves as the number of pre-rake fingers increases
