  • Abstract
    The author proposes a new breed of WDM crossconnects with a minimal penalty for hardware complexity which enhances the routing flexibility of wavelength routing star networks. Applying these crossconnects to multi-fibre WDM networks results in a drastic improvement of the network scalability
