Abstract
The inverse blackbody radiation problem for the estimation of the area temperature distribution is investigated in this paper. The inverse problem is solved by minimizing the integration of the square of the difference between the calculated total radiated power spectrum and the simulated experimental data. The conjugate gradient method is applied for the solution of the minimization problem. The effects of the functional form of the area temperature distribution and the measurement errors on the accuracy of the estimation in the inverse analysis are examined.
