Abstract :
The anisotropic magnetoresistance (¿¿, ¿0 and ¿¿/¿0), the ordinary Hall co-efficient (R0), the extraordinary Hall coefficient (Rs), and the saturation magnetization (Ms) were measured for Ni-Co, Ni-Fe and Ni-Cu binary alloy thin films in the range from 77K to 300K. As a result, the increase of ¿¿ and ¿¿/¿0 corresponds well to the minimum R0 ranged from ¿1.0 to ¿2.0×10¿12 V-cm/A-Oe and to near-zero Rs. This is very similer to the correlation for Ni-Fe-M alloy thin films at 300K. Within the present alloy system, RS(T) is empirically represented as C{¿0(T)/¿0(77)}n. n is given as 0.8 to 2.4 and C is ¿12.0 to 0.5×10¿10 V-cm/A-G, nearly equal to Rs(77). The increase in ¿¿/¿0 corresponds well to the decrement in absolute value of the coefficient C. The maximum of ¿¿/¿0 was found to be obtained around the zero value of C.
