Abstract
Low-loss coupling between a laser diode and a tapered waveguide fabricated by selective area proton-exchange in LiNbO3 is reported. The effectiveness of this waveguide is demonstrated by generating 12.3 mW of second harmonic blue light pulse by Cerenkov radiation.
