Abstract
Hardware design and implementation of a 2-D sample- and-hold semisystolic filter structure are presented. Log and antilog circuits are utilized with a high-frequency emphasis IIR (infinite impulse response) filter to provide homomorphic filtering. Hardware design is discussed with reference to specific device types and characteristics. A prototype circuit using MSI and MSI circuits on a custom-made PCB (printed circuit board) is shown along with applications to real-time filtering of broadcast TV images
