Abstract :
A system to measure skin-friction drag force is presented. Analytical, experimental, and design data are included. Satisfactory operation to 1400°F has been obtained. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of producing a closed-loop system capable of operating to temperatures of 2000°F.
