THE CHAIRMAN (MR. J. HOOD) said that Mr. Perry-Keene had taken them a long way in a very short time. The figures given proved conclusively that it was possible to modernise method to increase production and thereby increase wages. THE PRESIDENT (MR. F. W. SHAW) : Our lecturer stated that the car as a whole was split into individual units, and figures set up to which those units could be produced. That is to say, the figures were predetermined. I should like to know how figures can be predetermined accurately for parts that have not been previously made.
