MR. KIRKWOOD: There is one thing I would like to stress, and that is the point made in the beginning of the Paper in regard to the contact with the production while it is still on the drawing board. That, I think, is very often overlooked. The production engineer is still far too apt to say that his responsibility does not start until he gets the finished blue-print.
