Abstract :
Field experimental results of the pilot symbol aided 16 QAM for land mobile communication are reported. Its performance is evaluated by determining the 50% value of the bit error rate (BER). The obtained performances are almost the same as the theoretically expected values. These results verify that 16 QAM is a practical modulation scheme for land mobile communication systems.
