Abstract
In this paper, pumping forces in the magnetic fluid linear pump are studied so as to increase the smoothness of the pumping forces. Forming shapes of the magnetic fluid at the intermediate moment is computed based on magneto-hydrodynamic analysis so as to compute the pumping forces. Effects of the waveforms of the input current pattern are analyzed and verified by experimental measurement.
