Abstract :
Comparative measurements have been made on bevelled and reach-through amplifying detectors. The ¿-ray sensitivity of the reach-through diode depends much less on bias voltage and temperature. It has a low operating bias, typically 200 volts, and a plateau of at least 100 volts.
