Abstract
We have investigated to obtain the more powerful step motor using the synchronous motor. This step motor system consists of the induction synchronous motor and the variable frequency inverter using power transistors. In this paper, the performance of the step motion of this motor system is described, and it is shown how the performance and the efficiency of the power conversion depend on the electrical parameters of the machine. Then the analytical results are compared with the experimental results, and the most suitable values of the parameters for the step motion of this motor are proposed.
